Jenny
Experienced feline+ fairy servicing Inner South
Barton
About Jenny
Hello! I'm Jenny, your experienced and reliable cat fairy.
As a dedicated cat sitter, I provide complete and loving care for your furry family members while you're away. IMPORTANT: I live in Kingston and serve the inner South Canberra areas ONLY, including Kingston, Barton, Griffith, Narrabundah, Red Hill, and Forrest.
What I Offer as a Cat Sitter
Personalized Cat Care: I feed, provide fresh water, administer medication (experiences with topical, oral tablets, or mixing it into food), clean litter trays, and spend quality time with your cat. Whether your cat loves playtime, grooming, cuddles, or simply prefers quiet companionship, I adapt to their unique needs and personality. The usual visit lasts between 20-40 minutes, but in the right circumstances, I can spend up to an hour and a half reading a book while your cat uses me as a pillow. I also have extensive experience with cats that are less social and know how to avoid pressing their buttons.
Household Tasks: I can bring in parcels, water plants, and handle small, common-sense tasks to keep your home in good shape.
Peace of Mind: I send short photo updates after every visit, so you know your cat is safe and cared for.
Non-Intrusive Approach: I'm here to care for your cat, not to judge your home. No need to worry about tidiness—I focus solely on the comfort and well-being of your pet
To ensure a smooth experience, here's what I ask for:
1. Keys: Typically provided during our "meet and greet" before sitting starts. Please let me know where to leave them or if you'd like me to hold onto them for emergencies until you're safely home.
2. Routine Details: Feeding schedules, cleaning instructions, and any quirks about your cat or home (e.g., tricky door handles, broken switches, etc.).
3. Cleaning Supplies: Paper towels for tidying the feeding area or cleaning up hairballs.
4. Outdoor Policy: Let me know if your cat is allowed on balconies, porches, or other outdoor spaces.
5. Emergency Instructions: Clear guidelines in case of an issue with your cat or home.
About Me
I'm in my early forties, a proud mother to a primary school-aged child. Together, we love to travel, especially during school holidays. Although I adore cats, I don't have one of my own due to our lifestyle, which makes caring for yours all the more special.
My background is diverse, with experience in IT, alternative medicine, and massage therapy. Over the years, I've lovingly cared for a variety of animals, including bunnies, goats, piglets, dogs, cats, chickens, and hamsters. While I love all creatures and plants, cats are my ultimate favorite.
I prioritize hygiene, am fully vaccinated, and hold a valid Working with Vulnerable People (WWVP) card.
Availability: I am usually not available during school holidays, but at other times please check my updated calendar (on this app). I prefer bookings that are not too far ahead—my spontaneous travel lifestyle makes it hard to predict availability months in advance. However, if I agree to a booking, I honor it. In my years of being a cat sitter, I have never stood anyone up.
Thank you for considering me to accompany your furry kids while you are away.
