My name is James, I'm 22 and am currently working part-time/contracted work by night which means I'm readily available throughout the day during the week (9am-3pm). As a teen, I helped at my highschool's farm with many creatures both big and small, we kept birds, yabbies, cattle, sheep, quails, chickens, pigs, bees, alpacas, and one very rambunctious cattle dog puppy. My family comes from farming country out in Condobolin, which means from time to time I've helped on my cousin's sheep and wheat station too, which was always good fun, (except in the summer heat, yuck). Here at home, I care for my dog Bella Marie, a Jack Russell x Whippet who's about to turn 13 next January, and two birds, a budgerigar named Paulie, and a Cockatiel called Butterball. Bella is very friendly and gentle, even to the point of allowing strangers to pick her up or cuddle her; she can be timid but never snaps around small dogs. I myself have never been bitten for her, except when I was in the wrong and physically put my finger in her mouth (she had a bone stuck on her tooth and a cone on her head, so I wanted to help), which I would never blame her for. The birds, however, aren't hand raised and will bite others, so I let them do their thing with my occassional whistling to cheer them up when they're a little lonely.
I love animals, always have, and pride myself on understanding as many of them as I can. As a child I loved dinosaurs and memorised all their names, and now that I'm an adult, it always fascinates me to meet and care for new animals, especially ones that are as lovely as my own.
The services I'd love to offer include pet walking and home visits, I can pick-up pets for walks, and stay overnight to babysit on Sunday-Monday/s. I'd love to get in shape and walking is definitely the way to go; about 3mins walk from my house are multiple parks, cricket pitches, playgrounds, dog off-lead areas, and bushland areas, all of which ideal places to take any pooch on a wonderous journey for their little noses. After all, what animal doesn't love a good day out to sniff a few trees and roll in the grass?
