About Rachel
I've been pet sitting on and off for the last 7 years, for both dogs and cats. It's a great side gig for me while I study my bachelor's degree and work part time as a receptionist. 🏠
At this point I have been booked by over 15 different households over the years, more than half of which are returning customers. References can be made available upon request.
At home I am a plant lover and share animal fostering responsibilities with my two housemates. Some of these foster animals are in the gallery above.
I strive to keep your pet's routine as close to what they are used to as possible, and always like to leave a home at least as tidy as how I found it. 🧹
I don't mind travelling reasonable distances for housesitting, but if you live within 10 minutes of me I'd be happy to consider a locals discount too ☺️
I insist on doing a meet and greet with you and your pet before finalising any petsitting arrangements. This is important to me so that I can get acquainted with both you, and your fur baby. I also like to use it as an opportunity to discuss how your pet usually behaves and I can learn where all the food, leads, towels, litter, etc are stored while standing in your space myself so I don't have to trouble you with too many questions while you are away.
With housesitting bookings, please note that sadly my job does not allow me to work from home. So while I am a casual worker, I'm only an appropriate sitter for pets that can be comfortably left alone for an 8 or 9 hour stretch on days where I am required to work on site.
Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions or specifications you'd like your ideal sitter to meet.
I look forward to hearing from you! 🐾
