Hi! We are a family with a young adult (age 19 who works full time in animal services) and 12 year old. I work full time in the public sector, mostly from home. I grew up with dogs and have 40+ years of experience owning dogs plus have cared for hundreds of dogs (and cats and smaller animals!) during the seven years I have now been active on PawShake :).

All of us love animals and are happy to give your pet an inclusive, attentive, caring family home when you are away.

We love to have animals returning to stay with us over several years, getting to know and enjoy each of them during their stay and seeing their excitement when they return here.

We have a detached house on a 900m2 block with plenty of outdoor and indoor space that your animals can hang out in and enjoy when staying with us. We have enrichment toys, chillout zones and separate areas. We are also close to nature areas and walking trails and an easy 15 minutes drive from Canberra city.

We have had dogs from many different breeds stay and are aware of the different traits of many breeds and what each need. I am also experienced in recommended training techniques and ways to ensure your dog feels comfortable and enriched during their stay.

We currently have a mature, calm and happy rescue greyhound that gets on well with other dogs, and an indoor rabbit (the rabbit is in a separate room). Also we have previously had chickens, budgies, fish and guinea pigs.

We have CCTV cameras so security is assured.

We treat animals with the same love and care we would if they were our own. This includes:

- attention and playing with them

- daily walks

- coat brushing

- baths as required

- meeting each animals individual needs.

I am also happy to administer medicines your pet needs. Alternatively I can visit your home to look after your pet, feed them, take them for walks and do other jobs if you can't be at home for a while for whatever reason. I'd be happy to meet you beforehand and discuss what you need.
