Hi there! I'm Aleisha, an aspiring author and conservationist from Brisbane. I've just returned from South Africa where I lived and studied as a Field Guide for five months, learning and observing animal behaviour in the wild! I am now back in Brisbane working as a HR Officer for the QLD Fire Department with a flexible WFH arrangement. When I'm not travelling, you can find me snuggling with animals, painting, writing, reading, or hiking.
Growing up on what I would call a junior farm with chickens, ducks, dogs, cats and more animals than I can list, I am a passionate animal lover and love nothing more than looking after and showering every animal with love! 

In 2023, I lived in Lapland, Finland, where I took care of and helped train and exercise 86 Siberian huskies! I learnt every single one of their names. I am also currently helping my family to care for and raise three stray kittens that wandered into our care, and I love them to bits! 

I'm a respectful and considerate non-smoking housesitter/dog walker who will treat your pets like my own. 

My previous experiences have included:
- distributing medicine and applying topical treatment to dogs 
- administering insulin injections into a cat 
- administering eye drops
- taking care of newborn puppies and kittens as well as senior animals
- daily meal preparation and distribution to dogs, cats, chickens, ducks and geese 
- daily exercise for dogs
- endless cuddles!

I sometimes bring my partner, Lachie, to sits and dog walkers as he's also an experienced housesitter. He's a firefighter with QLD Rural Fire Service. Please let me know if he's welcome to join. Thanks!
