Hi! I'm Esther, currently a Master’s student in Animal Science at the University of Queensland. With a keen interest in companion animal behaviour and reptile husbandry. I would be more than happy to help out when you are not able to care for your pet.

Growing up, I was surrounded by many animal family members, including African Miniature Hedgehog, Cockatiel, Beagle, Chinese Field Cat, Hamster, Leopard Gecko, and Chinese Tortoises. Since the age of 13, I have been volunteering with a local stray rescue organization as a pet adopter and rescuer. I also spent a lot of time after school watching dog shows and reading books to learn about different breeds of dogs. During my undergraduate studies, I worked as a keeper’s assistant at a zoo and spent 12 months volunteering at a wildlife rescue center during every summer/winter break. These experiences have given me a deeper understanding of how to properly relate to companion animals and care for small reptiles.

Currently, I have a long-haired rabbit and a bearded dragon at my home in China. When I miss my animals, I often visit the uni’s vet clinic to walk the greyhounds, and give them a cuddle.
