Hello! My name is Claire, and I am a responsible animal lover who has owned dogs and cats my entire life.

I live centrally in Geelong with my family, including our school-aged child and a cat.  

I have personally used Pawshake for my pets for years, so I understand the importance of knowing your four-legged friend/s will be in the best care. Your dog's wellbeing is my priority, and my husband and I will treat your dog like family. 

Your dog (or dogs) will have plenty of company - both my husband and I work from home, and I work part-time hours. When we go out, we always aim to take our dog companions with us wherever possible. So your dog will be well-supervised.

Rest assured that your dog will sleep inside and they will be provided with * lots * of cuddles and belly rubs, if it's welcome! You're welcome to bring your dog's bowl, bed, toys, and other familiar comforts to help them feel more at home.

I live near several parks, reserves, and walking tracks, where I can take your dog for lovely walks and outings. While at home, they will enjoy exploring and playing in our large, securely fenced backyard.

Got an oldie? I am confident and attentive with older dogs; we have cared for our own, which have reached 17 years old. My husband and I have experience administering oral medications to dogs, e.g. for heart murmurs or arthritis.

While I'm comfortable caring for a variety of breeds, to ensure a smooth stay, a Meet and Greet is an essential step, and I cannot confirm a booking without one.

Before your pet's stay with me, please be sure to accommodate the following considerations:

Confirm that your dog is up to date on vaccinations and treatments, including for worms and fleas, to ensure a happy and healthy stay. Also, that your pet is toilet-trained, as our home has carpets.

To ensure the stay runs safely and smoothly, I can only take dogs who are safe around children, compatible with cats, well-socialised with other dogs, and willing & able to be walked on a leash. Dogs with destructive or aggressive behaviours or tendencies are unsuitable to board with me.

Please let me know if your pet has any special requirements. I have a driver’s license and a car in the unlikely event your pet needs veterinary attention. 

I also offer dog walking and would be delighted to take your dog (or dogs) to one of many great local spots. If they have a favourite park, I would be pleased to go there if you prefer.
