I am 26, and my partner is 31. We live together in a larger townhouse with small outdoor area, and I'm just a dad at home offering doggy day care! I work from home 2-3 days per week, and thought to take on day care one those days to help out our local community. I realised the struggle it can be to find the right dog sitter when you need it! Happy to take on dog boarding over the weekends (weekday if urgent only). We both work full-time, however I have the priveledge of working from home 2-3 days per week which is enabling this opportunity to help you!
Don't have many photos of myself out on our walks and play time, cause we are busy doing exactly that! We live right next to Kedron Brook creek and offleash area, which is great for all dogs - even if they are to be kept on lead. There is lots of space there to walk, run, sniff, go in water, socialise with dogs or not - just all round great stimulus for the dogs morning, lunch and arvo. So my dog is walked 3 times a day, and yours will be to if dropped off and collected before/after those times.
My skills include our own kelpie pup
(Chief, 7 mths), and previous dog sitting. I don't have years of experience however we are both committed and actively learning in this space. We graduated with Chief from Val Bonnie's obedience school, which is the best in Brisbane and not considered puppy school. We are rigorous trainers, and have high aspirations for our pup who is doing very well (rescue adoption). This comes from our commitment to him and learning as a trainer, something many normal households and family pet owners don't progress once their dog can sit. He is sociable with all dogs and humans.
We love the outdoors and are frequently there, which is why we adopted a Kelpie. If you're worried about 'will my dog get stimulation, and not just running around in a backyard with a toy', then we can help! If your dog isn't that active, we most certainly can help also! We walk/run twice daily, as well as toy games indoors and cuddle time. Weekends are normally a special trip to the beach or trail walk.
Lexi had a great time with Jared, he kept her entertained with walks down at kedron brooke creek and some training. Would definitely recommend. Thank you Jared!
Jared looked after Lexi our english staffy for the weekend and kept us updated with lots of photos. Jared took Lexi on 4 walks down to Kedron Brooke Creek and she had a blast. He understood her straight away and even did some training. She got on well with Cheif and had lots of plays. Thank you Jared!
