Hi there! My name is Savanna and I am a Qualified Veterinary Nurse.

I work at SASH (small animal specialist hospital) in Sydney.

At SASH I am a Surgery/Theatre nurse. I mainly work in pre and post op care providing five star care to lots of furry friends who have or are undergoing surgery, these animals can either be critical or in completely good health otherwise and our surgery department includes ophthalmology which I also nurse a lot of eye cases. I also help with exotic patients and have spent a lot of time with the department and have learnt how to nurse, handle and care for many exotic creatures.

I have been around a lot of rescue dogs in my workplace so it has given me experience with many different temperaments when handling different dogs.

Working in a specialist hospital I have had experience around oncology patients, neurology, ophthalmology patients, oncology radiation patients, rehab therapy, emergency and critical care, all surgery and exotic care.

I have grown up with so many different animals, from rabbits, ducks, hermit crabs to horses, fish, birds and of course cats and dogs.

Animals I have THE MOST experience with are, horses, dogs, cats, birds, rabbits/guinea pigs and chickens. I have done some handling with other exotic animals as well at my workplace including reptiles.

I am a dedicated perfectionist in making sure all animals I take care of are comfortable, calm and given nothing but love and affection. I believe an animal picks up on energy and chooses who they like which is why being around animals my whole life has helped me tremendously with my patients and other pets.

I offer most pet sitting services, although pet sitting at your own home needs to be requested upon accepting.

Dog Boarding (in my own home) - **CURRENTLY NOT TAKING ON BOARDING IN MY OWN HOME** Please always enquire within for any specific instructions as I may be able to help or refer.

House visits

Can give oral medications or injections

Have done years and 4 hours of CPR training courses on dogs and cats

Experience with diabetic patients and pets and able

to give insulin and dose and check BG accordingly.

Ophthalmology nurse - can give many eye medications, including on difficult pets.

Free rehab for pets with arthritis or post recent surgery.

Close to emergency vet clinics (work at a specialist hospital)

Grooming - able to give your pet a full deluxe wash for free if pet tolerates.

15 years experience with animals and 7 years experience in specialist vet clinic.

PLEASE NOTE: Your pets safety is my most important priority. Any dogs with aggression, anxiety MUST be discussed upon enquiry. ALL bookings must be completed AFTER a meet and greet. This is to make sure you and your fur baby are comfortable and that your pet and I are a good match. I charge a higher fee for the services I can offer you as a nurse. Your animal will be in the best care I can provide.
