I am a 21 year old Christian who is currently unemployed. I decided to sign up with Pawshake as I have always had a love for pets and to gain more experience in pet caring. My home is pet friendly, we have a medium sized back yard for our family dog to run around, she's a mini-fox by the name of Pepsi. The services I am offering are listed below. I mostly prefer working with small dogs, although I do occasionally make exceptions for medium sized dogs, as long as they are really friendly and not too difficult to handle. I have also had some experience with looking after a lamb (that's right, a LAMB!) When it comes to food and bedding for the pet staying over, I simply ask that the owner provide their pets bedding and food as it just makes it easier for us instead of rushing around buying the right food, and that way at least the owners also know that their pet is getting the right feed! I try to take as many photos as I can and give the owners updates on how their pet is going throughout their stay.
owners must also provide their pets own food and water bowls as there aren't enough bowls here for us to provide for the "guests".
ALL owners are required to give a heads up on if they are going to be early and/or late when picking up/dropping off their pet. They also MUST give an accurate time of pick up/drop off. This makes it easier for my family and I as we would be able to better plan our day accordingly instead of having to wait around, unsure of when the owner will be coming. ALL future bookings are also required to participate in a "meet & greet", so that any potential "guests" can come by and get a feel of the environment in which they will be staying, and so their owners can also check out the place. Any owners who can't participate in the meet and greet (unless due to valid reasons) will NOT be allowed to go ahead with the official booking.
rate for each additional pet is $15. How the home dog boarding works is, firstly, once I have been contacted by an owner, and if I am available during the times that they are asking for, I schedule a meet and greet before the pet's official stay (usually done at my house) so that the owner and pet can just get a feel of the house and environment before hand. If all goes well at the meet and greet, the next thing that usually gets done is just finalizing details, which mainly just involved the food, bedding, where they will be sleeping, and whether or not they need to be taken for walks throughout their stay. Once that is sorted, then its on to the pets stay at my place, and once they have settled I try to give an update here and there about how they are going. A typical day in home dog boarding at my place mainly just involves playing with and caring for the pet, keeping it fed and happy and sending it to bed at night to repeat the process the next day.
Rate per day is $20. This is where I would go to the owners house while they're away to just check up on their pets, which usually just involves making sure they have food and water, having a little play with them if needed, as well as taking them for a walk if required.
Rate per day is $25,
and everything else is just like the above description except it is two visits instead of one.
I have only just recently added House Sitting as one of the services I provide. My rate per day is $45. Thanks! Can't wait to hear from you! :)
Just wanted to say thank you to ken for looking after our dog for 5 days it was a relief to find someone that I was comfortable with to leave our dog with ,Max seemed to be treated like one of the family I would recommend using ken & I will again in the future.
I have used Ken’s boarding service for the first time and I very happy with the care he had given to my furry family member Jessie. 😊 With no hesitation I will use Ken’s services in the future and recommend him to others.
Thank you so much Ken, see you next time 🤗
