Hi, my name is Tayla and i am a qualified veterinary nurse with over 2.5 years experience who is passionate about caring for animals of all sizes, I currently work full time at the cairns Emergency Vet Clinic 24/7.

I have been raised in a home of 6 cats, 4 dogs, birds/rabbits/fish, so i am very confident and aware of the husbandry needs for these animals. I have recently moved to cairns from my family home in Melbourne, now only having with me my dog "Nala" who is a 5 year old chihuahua that was raised around kelpies so she is a little firecracker who wouldnt hurt a sole. I also have my 7 month old kitten "Toby" with me who is an indoor cat, leash trained for outdoors and has grown up around all animals so very easy to get along with.

I am now feeling a little lost after leaving my family and the rest of my animals and would love to use my spare time to love and help others with their pets wherever i can.

I am very confident with animal care, feeding, handling, husbandry and walking, I am happy to medicate including injections, clean ears and clip nails. I am able to identify signs when something may be wrong or if medical attention is needed so your pet will be in safe hands. i am also happy to bathe and brush your pets, but only if requested or given permission by the owner.

I have previously done cat fostering, and hand raised multiple kittens/litters from a day old so i am comfortable with neonates also.

what I am offering:

Boarding and Doggie Daycare:

At the moment i am only boarding and offering doggie daycare to small-medium breed dogs at my property.

I am happy to house other animals such as cats, birds, etc.

Animals will need to be fully vaccinated to protect my own animals.

The property is a fully fenced with a medium sized backyard, full grass coverage and an outdoor patio area. There is a swimming pool which is fully enclosed by a fence and has been safety checked only 2 months ago. if your dog is a pool lover i am happy to take them for swims.

I am also very happy to have the animals indoors, they will be treated as one of my own (which is very spoilt).

The animals should never be left alone as I am offering boarding on my days off so they will have my attention 24/7. should I need to go out the animal will not be left alone for longer then 3 hours, but I will aim to keep these days completely free. As I do work shift work sometime long stays I may need to go into work but should that happen my partner will be home to help look after the animals, he is also an animal lover working on green island at the crocodile park.

All animals will have access to fresh water 24/7, shade and cooling indoors if needed.

The area is safe and free of anything that may harm the animal or that they may be able to ingest.

I will provide physical activity for the animal whether it be a walk, playing with toys or enrichment activity's, for a minimum of 1 hour a day.

Food will need to be provided. I can make sure they have a bed, toys, water and lots of attention. i can supply as many updates and photos as requested.

I live with my boyfriend who is also a very big animal lover and will help me out when it is needed.

Dog Walking:

I'm offering 30min walks, can be longer if the owner requests.

Will only be leash walking, no off leash parks or areas unless requested by owner.

The dog will have access to fresh water.

Any leashes, collars/harness will need to be supplied by owner.

Happy to take up to 2 dogs at a time as long as small-medium breed.

Home Visits:

once or twice daily.

Will be 30 mins at a time, can be longer if requested by the owner.

Happy to feed, clean/tidy up after, medicate or entertain and spend time with your animals. will take out for toileting if needed and ensure they have fresh clean water access.

Price is for up to 3 pets at a time
