Rachael

Hi! My name is Rachael, and I'm a lover of all animals—big, small, wild and tamed. Being a pet sitter and dog walker makes sense for me, as I am happiest when looking after animals. I am physically fit and able to go on long walks/runs with large, energetic dogs; and of course am able to go on shorter walks with smaller/older dogs.

I am also happy just chilling and cuddling, especially with smaller pets (like cats, bunnies, and small dogs). However, I know how important playtime is—especially for indoor pets, and am happy to spend time throwing toys about. I have my own gorgeous rescue cat (Gordie) and did have one beautiful bunny (Nipsy), who recently passed away of old-age after being in the family for five years. I was heartbroken to say the least.

Gordie is a 'rescue' cat in every sense of the term. I found her as a tiny kitten on the side of a backcountry road, unable to use her hind legs. After a vet visit, we learned she was not a boy (as I mistakenly assumed, hence the name) and her back legs and one hip were broken. Several surgeries later and plenty of TLC in between, and she is now a fully functioning, happy and healthy (and very spoiled) indoor kitty. I know each and every pet is unique with their own special personality, and understand that each will have their own specific needs to be addressed.

Rest assured, if you leave your precious family member with me while you're away, it will not only be cared for, it will be loved :)
