About Me
My name is Riley and I have moved to Melbourne from Canada. I unfortunately had to leave my furbaby behind while I explore this part of the world so I'm looking to fill my animal void by walking and taking care of animals whose owners are busy throughout the day and/or night and need some help! My partner was offered a position in Melbourne within his company and I decided to quit my Millwright job and follow! Since I do not work I have tons of free time which I hope to fill by making many four legged (and maybe two legged) friends!
My Animals
Dex is our German Pinscher back home, we would take him everywhere. He is awesome during hikes, in the water, and just exploring with us. I have also grown up with all sizes of dogs and animals and am comfortable with all! My Partner has also owned many birds and has even raised one himself right from hatching through the egg!
My Home
My Partner and I live alone in a spacious two bedroom condo with a medium size balcony. Building is pet friendly. There is plenty of room in our living room/kitchen for even a large dog crate. Alternatively we also love dog cuddles while we sleep, so we would be cool with the dog sleeping in the bed if they would be more comfortable there.
A Typical Day
I do not work and therefore am free to take as many walks as needed throughout the day. I am happy with a quick walk around the building or an hour long walk to satisfy even the most active animals. There are tons of beautiful walks in melbourne that we could explore together and for the more lazy animals a quick little walk and some netflix and belly scrathes sounds like a good afternoon as well!

Riley was great with Ringo - he clearly enjoyed his day and he slept very peacefully at night. Riley was just a joy when meeting her so I felt secure and comfortable leaving Ringo with her and confident her would be very well looked after - which he was!
Little man had a ball 🥰
As our dog Dex was highly reactive I am very famailiar with training dogs to be calm and focus on me during stressful situations i.e walks in and out of the buildings, sidewalks etc. I am also a firm believer in maintaining training while taking care of someone else's animals whether it be to sit and wait for elavators, lights, opening doors or no begging and jumping we don't want to ruin any hard work put into your animal. I understand animals can quickly lose training especially if they are younger.
