Hey everyone, my name’s Danica and I am a registered nurse at the Royal Darwin Hospital.

I joined Pawshake as a means for a little bit of extra income but mainly to be able to enjoy the company of dogs after moving up from Tasmania a year ago and missing the companionship of the family dogs. I have grown up being surrounded by dogs of all shapes and sizes, my sister previously bred bull mastiffs, while my father breeds Kelpies, and various family members have labs, hounds, dachshunds, cavaliers, viszlas and so on. I also used to volunteer at a Dogs Home prior to moving to Darwin.

I now have a puppy of my own, a mini dachshund called Maisy, who has a beautiful personality and wants to be friends with absolutely everyone. I understand firsthand the stressors of having to leave your babies behind when going interstate/overseas, and would appreciate the opportunity for Maisy and I to provide love and cuddles to your pets in the comfort and security of their own home, to give you full piece of mind and the ability to enjoy your time away knowing that your babies are in good hands in a place familiar to them.

I mainly do housesits due to convenience for full time shift work, but will also consider home visits, and service most areas from the northern suburbs, to the city and out to Palmerston.
