Hello Pet Lovers! My name is Clara, I am a 23-year-old student at QUT living in Coorparoo who has a huge passion for all animals, big or small, no matter their disposition (dogs, cats, birds, reptiles...). For example, I have experience with rescue animals, having grown up with a rescue Lurcher myself. I grew up in England surrounded by various animals, from dogs to cats, pigs to chickens, and even horses. At my family home in the UK we currently have four dogs, two cats, pigs and three horses. I quickly became used to looking after all of them from an early age day to day, as well as when my parents were away. For me, pet sitting is a great way to keep in touch with my love for animals, whilst also providing a quality service for pet owners.
I live in the city so am unable to house your pets, however, I own a car meaning that I am able to travel anywhere in the inner suburbs. My hours at university are very flexible during the semester and additionally I am free to look after your pets during the holiday periods as well. Furthermore, I can offer to pet sit at your home during the day and overnight, walk your pet and provide them with the greatest care possible. I look forward to meeting you and your lovely pets!
Clara did a great job looking after our older dog Zed, he was happy and you could see he had been well looked after.
Clara was so wonderful in accepting a last minute booking - she was communicable and left my fur baby and house in pristine condition. Highly recommended! :-)
I am studying a Bachelor of Behavioural Science/Bachelor of Justice at QUT. As previously stated, my experience with pets spans over my life, from looking after my own pets on a daily basis, as well as caring for pets of friends when they are away. Before university, in the UK I was a keen horse rider. My horse had many behavioural issues from the start so I have spent over 6 years training him and building an extremely trusting bond.
In terms of skills, I have completed many equestrian tests in animal care and through my experience of the everyday contact with various animals has meant that I can look after any animal independently and offer them a good balance of fun and love. With my dogs in the UK I have thoroughly enjoyed training all my dogs to do various tricks, I am by no means a professional trainer but I would happily train your pets to obey, sit, lie down etc.
