Hi there, my name is Luisi. I live in a rural area in Coolbellup, not too far from doggy beaches and with several parks around (one of them just around the corner). My love for pets started when I was little and inherited from my parents who used to rescue stray dogs having a maximum of 13 at home, but, it was not until I moved to Australia when I decided I wanted to do more than looking after them.
I got involved with Guide Dogs WA as a Puppy Raiser, and raised Poppy, a beautiful black Labrador that is currently working with a autistic kid. She has even been in the news!! Our second Guide Dog in training was a 2 years old black Labrador, Della (4 yo now). Due to severe skin allergies and not being able to focus on her job, she was removed from the program so we decided to adopt her. She is a great dog, very friendly and intelligent. Della is on a special raw diet and with the help of her beautiful holistic vet she is doing great with her allergies.
I live with my partner, Jason, and we have no kids. Jason loves dogs as well and has a special touch with them. He is very calm and assertive. Della absolutelly adores him as he plays a lot with her. We also have 3 chooks and Della is perfectly fine with them. We love gardening and have our own veggie patch and plenty of fruit trees which means a lot of sniffing and new smells for your puppy. I do not work too many hours at the moment and spend lot of time at home with Della. I invest some time in the day to train her, reinforce what she knows, play and stimulate her mentally and physically with brain games and different challenges I create for her (very important to build a nice and strong relationship). I am a dog trainer. So, your puppy will be most of the time with company. I will walk them and make sure they have a great time in our home. That is my priority. I believe pet sitting is something more than just feeding them.
I accept small/medium dogs as long as they are friendly and not too boisterous as Della is recovering from cruciate ligament surgery. Cat sitting is also an option if they are socialised with dogs. I am also available to pet sitting at your place and your pooch will be very well cared for. I will make sure they have their physical exercise time (walks) and enrichment as well as training/ positive reinforcement.
My requirements: dogs must be friendly, well socialized, toilet trained, no barking at night, and not prey driven (he does not get obsessive with chooks). Looking forward to meeting you and your doggies. If you have futher questions give me a call please.

Luisi is a dog lover and obviously very passionate when it comes to caring for someone else's dog. My dog came home happy and healthy. I would not hesitate to leave my dog with Luisi again in the future.
I highly recommend Luisi, who looked after our dog over Christmas for three days. He was so well cared for and came home happy and healthy! A lovely garden for the dogs to play in and a household that really cares for animals! Thanks Luisi!
I am currently studying Cert IV in Companion Animals and volunteering at Dog's Home Refuge in Shenton Park assessing and spending time with new dogs in Quarantine Area to know their needs, stress levels in the new environment and helping them cope better with their new situation by understanding their individual needs & to keep them busy with whatever they feel stimulated with (toys, brain games, kongs, etc).
I have also been volunteering with some dog trainers in Fremantle area and have gained knowledge in understanding dogs body language.
Enrichment is my passion. Love creating challenges for them to sort out. I love how they use their brain, paws, nose, etc to solve problems. Ten minutes of mental stimulation tires them out more than 1 hour walking which is great for rainy days.
