Hi
My name is Anna, I have always been an animal lover and have had pets most of my life. From budgies, breeding rabbits and 500L fish tanks and betta (“fighter fish”) breeding to rescue cats and dogs and working as a professional horse keeper. I love animals big and small and believe they all deserve the very best of care at all times.
Currently our household consists of myself, my husband, our two year old son, our 12 year old staffy Madeliene, and our two feline girls Nikita (11) and Turbo (10).
Madeliene is a x-rescue dog, and Nikita and Turbo are both rescued cats as well. I have previously started and ran a rescue where I used to live and have through this experienced a large number of cats in particular of various shape, form and need. Since living in Brisbane I have also fostered dogs through a local rescue and hence have experience with dogs of various types, size and need for both exercise and understanding and basic training.
I am currently studying a phd and am finding that pet sitting is a both rewarding and interesting way to get to meet more lovely pets and people in my local community.
As a carer for your pets, you can expect me to provide the same service I would myself want for my own pets. I promise to deliver the following to your pets while you are away:
Included in my basic service:
+ A meet & greet so I can get to know you and your pets, and you can show me how you want your pets to be cared for while you are away.
+ Feeding, as per your direction of your pets normal feeding routine and food provided by you
+ Watering, daily fresh water
+ Cleaning of litter trays/Poo patrol
+ Pats and cuddles, a game of fetch or play with a toy provided by you
+ Bringing in post
+ General keeping of the pets’ living space and your home
+ Daily updates with photos via sms or email
+Quality time spent with your pet every day
Services I provide, for an extra fee:
+ Dog walking. I am happy to walk your dog/s, even if they are not the best at walking on a lead. I will however challenge a rowdy dog to learn to walk nicely to keep the walks interesting for both myself and your dog. If your dog is a high energy dog, I can bring my push bike and take your dog for a run as well. My own dog loves to run along the bike and I have found most dogs thoroughly enjoy this to drain all that energy they have. A well exercised dog is also I believe, a happy relaxed dog who will not be pining for you to come home as badly and hence is less likely to get into trouble digging under fences or scratching at doors or resorting to any other destructive behaviour while you are away.
+ Cat walking. Yes, I will happily take your cat out on a lead and harness. As long as you have at least attempted this in the past and can provide a harness that is well fitted that the cat will not easily get out of.
+ Transport. I can transport your pet to veterinary appointments, or collect them for you.
+ Washing of bedding and textiles in your home other than in the case of soiled bedding needed by your pet on a daily basis
Any other requests just ask and I will get back to you.
What I expect you have thought of before leaving your pet in my care:
I recommend you to make sure your pet is clearly tagged by collars and name tags with your phone number attached, as well as microchiped in case they were to go missing during your time away.
It is also a good thing for you to have your pets veterinarians contact details readily at hand should an emergency arise. I will always make all reasonable attempts to contact you before taking your pet to a veterinarian but will ask your permission to act on your behalf should a truly emergent situation arise and I am unable to contact you.
If your dog is an all outside dog, I expect you to have fencing capable of keeping your dog safely in your yard.
If your dog is scared of thunder or fireworks, it is important that there is a safe place where I can place your dog should I see a storm or firework event coming. Many dogs escape their yards due to thunder and fireworks and I would hate to see your dog go missing under my care.
If your cat is allowed outside, I cannot ensure that your cat does not go looking for you when you are away. I am happy to visit twice per day to let the cat out in the morning and back in at night, or for the cat to enter and exit via a cat door. But the safest thing is always that your cat stays inside during your time away.
Full refund if canceled before 12:00 p.m. one day before the booking, 50% refund afterward.
No refund is payable if the booking is canceled on or after the start date.
Note: All times are based on the sitter’s time zone

I have for many years cared for a large number of cats in particular, but also a few dogs, as a foster carer for rescue animals. As we are currently renting I am unable to care for any more pets in my own home, and so I saw the opperunity as a great alternative.
I have experience with older cats as well as newborn kittens, and adore them all just as a cat should be adored.
I also have some experience keeping a boisterous dog walking on a leash, with basic behaviour, and am happy to keep up any training a dog is undergoing during your time away.
I have experience caring for most small pets such as budgies, fish, guinea pigs, rabbits, etc. and am happy to care for either of these kinds of pets in your home.
