About me

Hello pet owners!

My name is Annie, I'm 28 years old from Scotland and I live in central Cairns. I undertook casual pet-sitting jobs in Scotland, and I have always had a passion for taking care of and being around animals.

I am a very active person, a vegetarian, and I love being outdoors and exploring new places. I have grown up with dogs, cats, birds, hamsters and around farm animals. I am very confident with looking after and walking dogs of all sizes.

In terms of my background, I have an honours degree in Communications and Marketing, and have work experience in pet-sitting, English teaching, child-minding, hospitality and various retail roles. My hobbies include cooking, walking, cycling, spending time with friends, writing, and music.

Services I Can Offer

I am able to pet sit from home and I am currently living in central Cairns in a house that has a well fenced front and back garden. One of my roommates has a very friendly dog that gets on well with other dogs, and I have my 3 month old puppy; Randy.

I have three roommates in the house who are also animal lovers, as well as my partner who grew up on a farm in Cairns with dogs/cats/pigs etc.

I am happy to house-sit at your home as long as it's within the central Cairns region. I don't have my own transport, but I am able to use public transport to get to and from places. My partner also owns a car, so I can be flexible. For dog walks, my house is next to a specific dog walking park, and I am happy to take your dog to the beach/other local parks.

I offer long and short walks for your pet depending on their needs, feeding, and overall caring of pets. I can look after your pet from my home as well as pet-sit at your house. I am happy to let your pet sleep in my room if it has its own bed or we have a cosy living room where he/she can sleep.

Other information

I am happy for pet owners to visit my house to see the house and garden before a pet sitting agreement is made.

I am comfortable looking after/feeding all animals except snakes and spiders - mostly because I do not have experience in these areas.

I can take only one animal at a time in my home as I have a puppy as well, but I am happy to housesit/walk/feed more animals at a time.

Vaccinated pets only to my home.

The rates I have included in my profile are negotiable depending on pet sitting requirements.
