I am responsible, friendly, and get along well with people and pets. I have not had any reviews yet because it's my first time on the platform, and I just returned from overseas. I have written references and a police check (WWVP card) available if you like. 

Pet sitting is as much about letting someone trustworthy into your home, someone who will respect your place and possessions, as it is about taking proper care of your much loved pet. I am sincere about caring for your pet, will follow instructions closely and enjoy having him/her as company. I enjoy the company of pets and I like to give dogs a proper walk. I am formerly a dog owner but don't currently have a dog or cat. My dog passed away a few years ago and I have been living overseas since. I returned to Canberra recently to take up residence here again. I'm not the type to invite people over or have parties, and am happy to keep the garden in check if requested.

My major is in biology, then I switched career to university teaching. I periodically work with animals on a farm in Hall, and have professional references available from work if requested. I have 9 months petsitting experience during covid, caring for two cats, and did a lot of petsitting for an elderly couple in O'Connor some years ago (Poodle from a refuge- it needed some love and training). I have from time to time looked after pets for friends, walking them regularly and preparing specific foods (often cooked) as requested.

I am comfortable with dogs of all sizes and temperaments, cats, reptiles, stock animals, fish etc, including administering medication such as tablets, eye drops, injections . I look forward to meeting you and having the opportunity to care for your pet when you are away.
