Hello, I am a 20 year-old University student from Dubbo, and have moved to Wagga Wagga to commence tertiary study. I have always loved animals. I love them so much, that seven years ago I decided to become vegetarian, and have not eaten meat since. I currently live with my best friend, my partner, and my gorgeous furbaby Pablo in Glenfield Park, a peaceful suburb of Wagga Wagga with plenty of pet friendly ovals and walking paths.
I have been a pet owner since I was very young, and have cared for many dogs, cats, birds, rabbits and fish. When I was living in my hometown Dubbo, I took up pet-sitting as a job outside of school and throughout my gap year. I started with pets of family and friends, and then when word was shared I had new people contacting me. I had as many as 10-15 clients a month, but unfortunetly I have had to relocate and earn a new clientele. I have experience with all ages, and sizes, and have house trained and toilet trained many puppies and have even toilet trained rabbits.
My motivation for being a sitter:
To me, pets are an essential part of a family in which they bring love and laughter to every day. Animals have a power to brighten the darker parts of ones life, and I would like to give back to them by being a pet sitter. As a mother of a beautiful rescue dog, as well as many other pets in the past, I understand how special a pet is to it's owner, and am familiar with caring and providing for many animals. But what is also important to me is not just being someone that looks after your pet, but to be a friend too.
Pet Sitting: I will stay overnight at the owner's house and cater to your pet's needs. I will feed them, play with them, and walk them, and put them to bed if required.
Doggy Day Care: I will stay at the owner's house for a few hours during the day and feed, play and walk your dog as required. The average time I will visit is 3hrs, but am more than happy to increase or decrease the time as needed.
House visiting: I will visit for an average of 20 minutes, enough time to check feed and water, and play with your pet. If a walk is required, then the visit will most likely be longer.
Dog Walking: I will come to the owner's house and walk the dog around the residential area. I will walk the dog on an average of 20-30 minutes, but I am more than happy to increase or decrease that time as needed.
I am aware of how much attention pets require, and when the owners are away I will play and exercise them as much as I can in order to take their mind off missing their family. Despite being a Uni student, my course only takes up a small portion of my week, so I am able to dedicate plenty of time to your pet. Even when I am studying or working on an assignement, I like to cuddle with pets so they are still recieving attention even when I am working.
Animals seemed happy and were well cared for during the 3 night stay.
Zajkel went above and beyond! She has great communication and is very responsive. Our boy needed medication for two days and she was great in giving that too 😃
I am currently studying my first year in a bachelor of creative industries, with a double specialisation in acting and performance and screen and media.
I currently have my working with children certificate.
