HI I am Dan. Dogs are my life. Dogs are my job. Balmain based but work all the inner west including Pyrmont, Glebe, Annandale, Balmain, Rozelle , Lily Field, Leichhardt, Drummoyne, Habberfield.
I am a dog walker as my primary job. Thats right. For me dog walking is my career and a lifestyle choice. We live in the best city in the world and being a dog walker allows me to have the best job in the world in the best city plus the time to enjoy it. When i am not walking dogs i can be found messsing around in boats, practicing yoga and in the community garden behind my house. I am community based person and the inner west is the best community in town. If im not at home im up in the bush where i free range a few berkshire pigs. I do this for the love and not the money. Lets face it. I wil never own a home in Sydney so im not going to do a job i dont enjoy and waste my life. I have been walking dogs for 1 year now and it was the best decision i have ever made. I am healthy, happy and free.
I walk all dogs from the smallest chow chows to the biggest bow wows. My service is very personal. Your best friend becomes my best friend as well. All walks are fitness and socialisation based and in the summer it is all about the harbour. Callan Park, Glebe Dog Park and Mort Bay and Birchgrove Oval / Snails Bay beach are my haunts. Plus i have a few other secret spots that i know or have access to including a safe and protected private area in pyrmont with a oyster free ramp for swimming. I swim with the dogs and on high tides in the warmer months and i teach dogs to swim. Swimming in the harbour with dogs would have to be my favourite activity. All walks are longer than one hour. All walks are off leash unless specified. I make sure your dog is matched with other dogs of suitable tempraments. My 4 year old border collie comes on nearly all walks. He is a fully offleash dog and very sociable. If your dog requires onleash only walks, is nervous or not socialised that is not a problem. I can still walk it 7 days a week. Thats right. 7 days a week. I start earlly if you dont have time before work and finish late if you are working late. I walk 4-5 times a day. I also walk weekends. Why because when you love what you do. Work is not work. I put your dog first as it is my career.
I offer my house for doggy day careI. If your dog is not a woofer or a digger i can sit your dog at my place. A fully fenced house with a large grassy garden on 660m2. YOUR DOG MUST BE CAT FRIENDLY FOR THIS OPTION. If your dog comes to my place for the day they will be spoilt. I live 100 meters from either Birchgrove oval or Mort Bay Park. They will get 2 walks and they have a wonderful garden to explore and a dog friendly cat "Sugar" to entertain them. Older dogs can be catered for aswell as the youngest pups. Unfortunately i cannot accept dogs with major seperation anxiety issues or who bark consitantly.
I can be your dog sitter if you are going away. I love to garden aswell so i will make sure your garden does not wilt over the warmer months. I can drop in and visit your dogs if you dont require a dog sitter but want peace of mind that your best friend is safe and fed and watered.
I aim to please and i love my job. Hope to hear form you soon.
Daniel is a natural with dogs and kippy loves staying at his. Thanks again.
Dan has been walking my staffy for around six months. He’s one of the few people I implicitly trust to look after her. He’s excellent with communication, including sending me pupdates from their adventures, and is always punctual. Millie is always tired but happy on the days she goes out with Dan.
