My furry companions are always by my side.
I truly believe they make life richer, filled with hilarious antics and unconditional love.
When you drop your best friend off at the kennel it's always a test of how much you can resisit those soulful eyes pleading with you not to leave! Knowing the feeling myself I endeavor to spare other like-minded folk the same pain. I can't currently host additional dogs in my own home so am more than happy to do daily trips to clean, feed and play with your non-human friend. Putting out the rubbish, watering plants and collecting mail can also be requested on meeting.
About a year ago I adopted a rescue dog. She is my life. I am fortunate that when I’ve had to travel she has been looked after friends and family. They send me updates (photos/videos) and are in contact if I need, so I understand how important it is knowing that someone cares as much about your fur-baby
as you do. Honestl, adopting a rescue was a lesson in how humans can unfortunately have long lasting effects on our furry friends. Maggie was very scared and anxious around new people, she’s much better now, but her history was obvious. She hates being in a harness, or items constricting her (e.g. jackets) and certain actions sometimes scare her. Careing for her has made me more understanding and knowledgeable of dog behaviour.
I love my furry-legged friemds and would extend all of that love to yours.
I'm currently a student at JCU doing a Research Masters after completing a Bachelor of Science in 2013 (a mixture of Zoology, Marine Biology and Aquaculture).
I've grown up and cared for a variety of animals (over the years my non-human friends have included mice, rats, fish, birds, and dogs) so feel confident that I will care for your furry, feathered or aquatic friend as if they were my own.
