Hi there!  

Welcome to my profile, it’s lovely to e-meet you! 

I’m Jessica, a British 32 year old animal enthusiast who is based in the inner west. 

I’ve been fortunate to have grown up with furry friends all my life and love all creatures great and small.
I’ve been surrounded by dogs, cats, chickens, guinea pigs, hamsters and horses throughout my childhood. It’s fair to say, it’s instilled a deep love and care within me for critters! 

My family come from a veterinary background and worked for a wildlife hospital, so I was also helping to look
after animals like hedgehogs, foxes and birds until they were released back into the wild. 

I’ve been based in Australia over the past 4 years and have been happy to call Sydney my home. I am currently studying my Masters of Social Work and have a keen interest in animal-assisted therapy. As an international student, unfortunately I’ve had limited capacity to have pets of my own and this is something that has drawn me to join Pawshake!

 🐾 What is your availability? 

I offer dog walking and home visits. Currently, I’m available on weekday evenings after 6pm and over the weekends. My schedule often changes due to my study and I will update my profile and calendar regularly - stay tuned!

 🐾 What happens on a dog walk? 

I will come pick up your pooch for their walk. I can provide bespoke walks for your furry friends ranging from 30 minute walks to a full hour or more. We won’t be off lead unless you have confirmed this, we are in an appropriate area and your pet is comfortable with my roll call. Top walk locations include Glebe Foreshore, the Bay Run and Sydney Park. After
safely bringing your doge home, I’ll provide clean water and food as required and wipe down their paws. 

 🐾 What happens on a home visit? 

I will come to your home to check on your pet/s and spend some quality time with them. Visits can range from 30 minutes to one hour plus. I’ll engage and play with your pets, ensuring they have fresh water and meals. On your request, I’m happy to groom your pets and give them a pampered wash. If required, I can also clean litter trays and cages. In addition, I can assist with other household tasks such as taking out your garbage, bringing in post and watering plants.

 🐾 What happens with house sitting? 

I will come and stay at your home to keep your pets company and an eye on your home whilst you are away. Your pets can stay in the comfort of their own surroundings. As with home visits, I can assist with other household tasks upon request. I'm clean, quiet, reliable and a non-smoker who will keep your pet/s and home safe until you return.

With all services, I will provide regular photos, messages and updates on how your pet is doing and what we are up to! I will also keep a close eye on your pet throughout our time together, to make sure that they are healthy and that there are no unusual observations. I always use positive reinforcement with all animals.
