Finally getting away somewhere at long last and need someone to take tremendous care of your house and pets??! Look no further! I’m Tayla, and it would be a privilege to look after your home and pets while you're away so both you and your loved one/s can have a stress-free time. I happily offer Home Visits, Home Pet Sitting, Daysits and Walks to assist you with this.
~
A Home Visit is $33 for half an hour, or longer if needed, and you can book up to two a day for $45.
During home visits I will:
NOTE: I understand perhaps you may have a low-maintenance pet (like a cat) which might not require walks (although if your cat loved walks that would be amazing, and I would love to see that). I can provide suitable enrichment and facilitate zoomy games. In saying that, I do think a 10% discount can be applied in fairness to you. Same can go for a home pet sit with an easy-going self-sufficient cat.
In terms of your home, I will do the following tasks:
At the end of the last visit, I say my farewells, lock up and leave your key how you would best prefer.

If you’d like something more…consider Home Pet Sitting!
Sometimes an animal can feel more stress and anxiety when boarded in a kennel or cattery. It’s a sudden strange new environment that might be loud, busy and smell too different. Being able to stay in the comfort of their own home can be wonderful for them, with constant company to keep them from ever feeling lonely and confused. Not to mention your home stays protected while you’re away from it.
Home Pet Sitting is $60 per night and includes everything listed for a home visit (see above) plus:
I personally hold a lot of integrity with taking care of other people’s things and I don’t take trust for granted! I have a current backgroud check handy to show and a clean driving history. I am a non-smoker and keep tidy and organised. I am water and electricity conscious and barely take up any space!
I'll be attentive to how your pet/s may be feeling so I definitely won’t put any unnecessary stress on them when they may be wanting alone time. And I will absolutely indulge them if they want some chin scratches, brushings, cuddles, walks, games and a sharing of my blanket...house rules permitting!
When I house sit, I am a complete homebody. In amongst spending the best time with your beloved, I am basically just consuming movies and drawing. Should I need to pop out, I will make sure it will be for no more than 5/6 hours. I will limit the other services, if any, and I will manage those in a way that is efficient in distance and time for everyone.
On the last day, I like to wash and have dried any used towels, mats and pillowcases. I can extend that to the sheets and blanket if you wish however there may be no need as I sleep like a burrito in my own blanket. 😊
Handover: I find being available from 12pm on the first day to 12pm the last day is a good general rule of thumb. I am happy to accomodate 1-2 hours north or south of that. However if you need me to stay perhaps 3+ hours after I would ask you book a Visit and I'll leave any time you need. :)

Find a visit too short but no need for an overnight? Maybe a Daysit will do the trick!
These are $45 and I stay up to 6 hours doing whatever your baby/babies want to do. Whether it’s an adventure around the area, a cosy snuggle, some enrichment games or perhaps you'd just like me to be on-call if you’re worried about leaving your lovely/lovelies at home, especially after years of always having you near – nobody wants a huge chunk out of the house thanks to separation anxiety.
Daysits help break up that long period of absence if you’re returning back to work or perhaps it’s been a while and you need some renewing downtime with yourself or human companions. I got you!
To book this, please select for Two Visits, I'll apply the discount and we'll have the times locked in.

AVAILABILITY: Currently fully available all of 2022 with no travel plans!
I have taken a part-time nightshift role that will usually be after 5 until midnight just for your info.
I am based in Point Cook and mainly service a 15 km radius. You can use Dalmany Avenue, Point Cook as a reference to see how far we are. I don't mind giving discounts if you are well under 10 kms!
~
Please note, Meet and Greets are not confirmations of the booking. They may be rescheduled last minute though I endeavour not to do this. Please do not give away personal information unless YOU are comfortable doing so.
At Meet and Greets, I like to ask about their general temperament, walking behaviour and capability around other animals (**)
Should we be a great match and is a go ahead, I’d like to know their routine, house rules, general health status and other such details. I’ll provide you with my phone number and keep in touch however you prefer (Call or Text/Chat).
To keep things efficient, if keys can be provided either at the Meet & Greet or on the first day of the booking that is greatly appreciated!
*I don’t mean to offend anyone, but I may use discretion if it is a smoking household as I notice there is a residual smoke smell on me and my things (mainly regarding home pet sits longer than one night).*

DISCLAIMERS:
(*) While I am confident to handle animals, if they are severely timid or anxious and really prefer no touchies, I may only be able to give them pills. To establish a bond, I would like to be able to feed them an approved treat in some shape or form.
(**) If I find your dog does not walk well (heavy puller, highly reactive and/or potential threat to safety) I won’t cover much distance but will instead spend that time training them to be calm and pay attention to the walker because it's important a dog be able to walk with you and not take you for a walk.

Lastly, about me:
I was previously a transcriber for almost 10 years and have made the decision to jump off that boat and swim in the unknown. I am now in a nightshift role part-time hoping that would best suit people's routines so I can continue to provide pet care as I am thoroughly enjoying filling my time with the caring and company of all the little characters around my area.
I am 29 now and we have always grown up with cats and dogs living both in Australia and NZ. In NZ, I had volunteered in the cat/kitten ward for the SPCA and did home pet sitting casually for my work colleagues. I’ve only started on here in 2020 and it’s been such a hidden gem of wholesome satisfaction. Because of more opportunities to help others with their animals, it’s inspired me to upskill in animal care. I do know Animal First Aid and am learning about cat and dog body language so far and am interested to pursue more.
I love animals. It is the highest compliment to hear that someone’s animal feels comfortable around me on our first meeting. Even so, I love to build trust and mutual respect with them. I think there’s so much to be gained by spending time with animals; I love what they teach us about ourselves and how we don’t always need words to communicate with each other.
That is my why 😊
I will take the utmost care of your pets as if they were mine. I value their company and giving them company so I hope I can help you and your animal/s any way I can.
If you're happy with my care, please consider leaving a review! hehe
Full refund if canceled before 12:00 p.m. one day before the booking, 50% refund afterward.
No refund is payable if the booking is canceled on or after the start date.
Note: All times are based on the sitter’s time zone
Excellent service as always. Our cat was relaxed and calm when we got back after three days. Thanks, Tayla!
Tayla is amazing!!! She has taken care of my two cats for a week and sent lots of photos and videos which made me feel so relieved that they are in good hands.
Thank you Tayla! ❤️
