Hello! My name is Emma and I've always been an avid animal lover. Whilst I'm certainly a cat person, I love all different creatures, both big and small, and am aiming to become a zookeeper! I am looking to gain some experience and income within the animal industry to be more equiped for the future.

At the moment, I am still perusing my studies, having received my Certificate II in Animal Studies at TAFE in 2023 and am applying for Certificate III in Captive Animals. I work at Paws Dog Daycare and am also a current volunteer at Minton Farm Animal Rescue Centre whenever I can. I also foster cats and kittens from Paws & Claws Adoption Inc.

In regard to prior experience in animal care, I am in charge of feeding and medicating the cats of my household; As well as the dog when I am left to look after the house. I also have experience with all kinds of animal behaviour and needs due to previous volunteer work (Dog Training Club in my hometown, volunteering in Cat Care & Pocket Pets at RSPCA, Minton Farm)

The services I wish to offer are dog walking, home visits (Once or twice a day) and house sitting. I am also able to provide any emergency transport and any administration of oral medication.

My dog walks will depend on a dog’s age/physical well-being (For example, I would take an elder dog with joint pain on a 15 minute walk) as well as consulting with you about how long the walks typically are. Minkarra Park is my preferred spot for dog walks, however I am flexible in where I can go if you have a preferred location to take your pets.

In regard to home visits and house sits, I prefer to not do any longer than 1 or 1 1/2 weeks at most as it is what I am most comfortable doing. I also prefer to not go more than 30 minutes from where I live (Happy Valley) as I do have my own pets at home and feel more comfortable staying close ish in case I am needed. I also require rules and/or expectations for me either sent digitally or printed out and given to me.

I will also require your contact information in case I need to contact you regarding your pets or any other concerns. If you have plants you would like for me to water, I can also incorporate that into my care; As well as bringing in any mail you may receive.

With all my services, I can ensure a friendly and safe care for your pets, as well as patience and understanding of different animals needs and temperament.
