About Shona
I have always had a huge love for animals, being surrounded by pets in my upbringing and going on to complete a biology degree at University, developing my understanding of animal behaviours and traits.
I began professionally caring for animals in 2018 back in England and over the years have developed a repertoire of regulars and lovely reviews (on a different site, reviews available on request ☺️). I always take the time to get to know each animal and understand their needs, dislikes and little kwerks - as much like us they're all incredibly different with their own personalities! Therefore, I tailor my walks and activities to best suit their needs, be it finding calm environments for nervous dogs, or high mental and physical stimulation for those active pets!
I have the most experience caring for dogs, ranging from young puppies up to 13 year olds, and varying in sizes from daschund right up to large labradoodles and English pointers. I am confident working with all breeds and multiple dogs at a time - though I will never introduce 2 dogs until I have met them first separately, understand them and am happy they will get on well. I ensure the introductions are slow, relaxed and in a neutral ground!
I was sad to leave my clients behind in England as I formed lovely bonds with both the pets and their owners, but I hope I'll be able to continue to do so over here in Australia!
I am available all through the day and am incredibly flexible, meaning I'm also free on short-notice should you need me. My walks and drop ins generally last half an hour, however I'd be more than happy to alter this to your preference for pets!
I also have a current, valid police check ☺️
