For pet parents, one of the hardest things about going to work each day is wondering what your dog will get up to while you are gone. At Pawshake, we understand that dogs need activity and interaction during the day, so why not book your dog with one of our trusted sitters in McKellar ACT for a doggy day care service? You can drop your dog off at the sitter’s home on the way to work or organise with your local McKellar ACT Pawshake sitter to pick up and drop off your dog for you.

Pet day care is a great way to keep your dog mentally and physically active during the day so that you can come home to a happy, relaxed dog. Pawshake’s home day care service is great for young dogs who need constant supervision: puppy daycare allows your pup to maintain a consistent routine, which is important during the toilet training process. It’s also a great option for dogs who need extra care and attention, or those who are extra active.

Our sitters who offer doggy day care and puppy daycare services are more adaptable than your average big day care centre. Numbers are kept small and some Pawshake sitters will only take in one dog at a time. This means they can work around your timing and any special requirements your dog may have. So, let your four-legged best friend enjoy their day with a fun and loving McKellar ACT sitter who will shower them with love and dedicated attention. On top of that, you will also get photos and updates during the day so that you can follow your dog’s day care adventures!

Every day care booking also comes included with The Pawshake Guarantee, which includes veterinary coverage, customer service support 7 days a week and more.

Hi There,I am father of 2 boys and also a cater Of lovely Greyhound called Shadow.I have had many dogs in my life and I love to care for them. You can be rest assured that your pet will be cared for as though it is my own.So get in touch with me if you need someone to care for your pet while you are away or just need someone to care for your pet.

Hi
I'm Cary. I'd love to walk your dog or care for your pet overnight/s.
I have been lucky enough to share my life with many wonderful pets (mostly dogs and cats) and I know how special and precious they are. And also how critical it is to provide some social stimulation and exercise on a regular basis.
I have decades of experience walking and caring for dogs and cats, puppies and kittens and many more mature fury family members. But I'm new to Pawshake.
I am recently retired and have plenty of time to walk or look after your pet.
I love to stay active so would welcome some company on a walk (or slow jog). I can meet your dog's preference for a long walk or more of a short walk with lots of time for sniffing, or just meet and play in the backyard or park.
Our dog (a 15 year old jug), Finn, passed away a year and I miss him and the time we enjoyed exploring our neighbourhood or just spending time together.
I love all size dogs and very happy to pet sit cats too.
If it's overnight, I'm very happy to water the garden and pot plants, take out the bins, keep your house tidy and secure, and keep your pet/s company and feeling safe and secure.
I live in central Canberra, but happy to pet sit anywhere.
I'm happy for one of, ad hoc or semi regular walks....whatever works for you and your dog/s.
I'd love to meet you and your fury friend and discuss your needs and how I can help.
Have a great day

Hello, my name is Heidi, and I am 25years old. Throughout my life, I have had the privilege of growing up with dogs, which has fostered my deep love and passion for animals. I am an experienced and dedicated pet sitter, committed to providing a safe, loving, and happy environment for pets in my care.
Currently, I work full-time as a Family Assistant/Estate Assistant—a role I was fortunate to receive through a family I met while pet sitting for their dogs. As part of my job, I get to spend my days with their pets, which brings me so much joy. My love for animals is at the heart of everything I do, and I am known for being a compassionate and attentive caretaker.
I have two fur babies of my own - full breed chihuahua, Bambi and chihuahua cross, Bibble. Bambi is a sassy little girl and Bibble is cuddle bear but very frightened of life due to her being a rescue.
As a vegetarian with a strong passion for animals and fitness, I love spending time outdoors—especially on walks, which I’m sure your pet will enjoy too. Over the years, I’ve had a variety of pets, giving me broad experience in caring for animals of all kinds.
I now offer pet sitting services from my own home in Denman Prospect. While I do live in an apartment, I understand this may be something you’d like to consider—so I’m more than happy to arrange a meet-and-greet at my place beforehand. I also continue to offer pet sitting in clients’ homes if that’s your preference.
I look forward to the opportunity to care for your pet!
Best regards,
Heidi

I am Canberra born and bred. I am a retired senior public servant with more than 40 years experience.
I was a cat owner for more than 30 years, often with two or three cats, most of which were rescue cats. I looked after and cared for them through everything including taking one to Sydney for cancer treatment which resulted in having an eye removed. I am currently without one but am very experienced in dealing with cats.
For a number of years I was a volunteer dog walker at the pound which, at times, was challenging both physically and emotionally. I walked up to six different dogs on a Saturday afternoon so was very committed. Each walk was about 30 minutes. In addition, I had to sit with a number of dogs in their cages to build up their confidence before taking them for a walk
I am a very caring and compassionate person and would treat your pet with with as much care as if it was my own. I would welcome the opportunity to look after your pooch or pussy cat while you are away. My main interest is visiting your pet in your home while you are away and rest assured they will be in safe hands. And I would be more than happy to feed your pet but also spend time petting them and playing with them.
On a number of occasions I have had to administer oral medication to my own cats.
I would ensure that I send you a daily update or pics so that you know that they are getting amazing care.
I look forward to looking after your fur baby.
