Having just moved to Canberra from overseas and no longer having pets, I'm super excited to join pawshake. What better way to get to know a new city, then by exploring with a four legged friend?&nbsp;I grew up having dogs (a Labrador and a Golden Retriever) a three legged cat and some chooks but in general love all animals as you can see in my pictures. Until recently I had a cat which I was really crazy about. Having a dog and working full-time sadly was too hard so I&nbsp;looked after dogs (a Husky and Labrador)&nbsp;before via an app similar to this one, back in The Netherlands.&nbsp;In my spare time I love to go for hikes and play tennis. But let's be honest, both are even more exciting when you bring a dog, right? With dogs I love to go for long walks, a swim, or a play in the park but I'm also happy to go for a shorter walk and some cuddles if your dog might be a bit older or less active.&nbsp;I'm a social and easy going guy and love dogs that are social and easy going too. Hey guys, so my name is Jess and I am looking to pet sit dogs or cats. I grew up on a farm so I have been around animals my whole life and have always been an avid animal lover. Up until recently we had a small dog named Tyson who loved cuddling, but loved his walks even more. We would love to be able to pet sit while we don't have our own pet currently. I have done a lot of travel in the past so I know what it's like to need someone to look after my fur child. I have a small house with an enclosed backyard, and am very close to a decent sized oval. I am happy to accommodate any needs wherever I can so just swing me a message and I would be happy to help! Hi! We’re a pet-loving duo based in Canberra, and we believe every fur baby deserves all the love, comfort, and playtime in the world. My own pet-care journey truly began eight years ago when I rescued and fostered a tiny pup named Dobby back home in India. I couldn’t let him go, and he now lives happily with my family, being the spoilt little prince he deserves to be.
Here in Canberra, Michael and I are the proud dog parents of two cheeky Jack Russell Terriers, Cookies and Cream, who we adopted from a shelter when they were 1.5 years old. They’ve taught us everything about managing big personalities in small bodies, keeping up with high-energy pups, and making sure every dog feels safe, happy, and adored.
We also have experience caring for cats, thanks to helping out with my cousin’s kitties. We’re comfortable with feeding, playtime, basic grooming, and helping shy pets warm up at their own pace.
When we look after your pet, we tailor everything to their needs. Some pets love zoomies and tug-of-war, while others prefer gentle walks and cuddles. Even though we don’t live near an off-leash dog park anymore, we make sure pets still get plenty of exercise, enrichment, and fun through supervised outdoor time and indoor games.
Your pet’s safety and comfort are always our top priorities. We follow routines exactly as you prefer and treat every animal with the same love and care we give our own little crew.
