As a child I dreamed of one day being rich and famous, so that I could afford a large house (full of rescue animals), with particular emphasis on owning a large barn where I intended to have 1000 score of guinea pigs (my first pet and still arguably my favourite animal because of helpless and ridiculious they are).

Alas - 20 years later, working in the engineering consulting industry, renting, and with a wage to living cost ratio that seems to be ever declining, my dreams have never seemed so far away^....until you read this bio right now! Allow me to walk/petsit your scale-/feather-/fur-children and maximise my PET (Pet Exposure Time), think of it as your annual act of charity...or as a viable way to have them looked after because I have:

• Vegan/animal rights activism/anti-speciesm belief system and treat animals as the people they are (as much is practial to the limit of their biology, so no dogs driving cars, sorry). Please note that this belief does not affect feeding of pets.
• Within the past 20 years, at all times cohabitated with at least one pet (rats, birds, guinea pigs, rabbits, small/large dogs (mostly west highland white, border collie, poodle), and cats) for whose care I was solely or partially responsible ;
• Have cared for a range of animals to varying degrees, including housemates pets whilst they are absent, my aunt/uncles furchildren;
• Care for my house rabbits, which requires a specific diet (ratio of greens, to hay, to fruit & avoidance of the numerable things that they want to chew/eat that are dangerous to them...) and health monitoring (as rabbits are prey animals, they hide disease, illness, injury so require a greater level of care and attention than most animals); and
• Am just a generally caring and organised person.

Please note: I am particularly interested in assisting with caretaking of small and strange animals, or very energtic dogs that need big runs/walks (I love galloping with a happy doggo).

Small (herbivorous or non-predatory) pets (such as bunnies, guinea, rats, mice, frogs, fish or some birds) would be considered for pet sitting within my home (set up would be custom to specific need).

^With the exception of my two darling, intelligent, curious, playful indoor bunnies (Boots & Beatrix) of course.
