I understand that your pet is a family member and that to put them in care of someone else requires a great deal of trust. Being a veterinarian, I truly believe in creating a safe, non-confronting and calm environment for your pets well-being and work hard to uphold my commitment to provide the best service and administer loving care.
Home alone visits at your place: I believe in making each visit as enjoyable and interactive as possible. All visits include feeding and changing water, 20 minute play time and cuddles (cats, rabbits, mice etc.) or 20 minute walk (dogs), scoop litter box and dispose of waste, medications administered (if required), bring in mail, water pots, put out bins and conduct a security check. I will also send you regular updates so you can be in the know on how your beloved pet(s) are going.
Home boarding at my place: Your dog will live outside during the day and inside at night (if they are accustomed to doing so) and will be treated like part of the family so there are lots of cuddles, treats and playtime to be had. They will get plenty of exercise going out for a long walk daily with Colette.... even adventures to the beach or the bush and this is all included in the rate. During their stay, you will be kept in the loop with regular updates and photos. Not only will your dog have company day and night, they can bring their own food, bed and toys and be thoroughly entertained the whole time - in fact it will be a little holiday of their own! I have a lovely small backyard with a pool which is totally secure so there will be no escaping whilst staying with me.
I only pre-approve bookings that contain all the necessary detail - please include as much detail about your pet, yourself, the dates, times and services you are after, as well as any special medical or behavioural needs, so I can assess whether or not we are a great fit before moving forward :)
Full refund if canceled before 12:00 p.m. 7 days before the booking, 50% refund afterward.
No refund is payable if the booking is canceled on or after the start date.
Note: All times are based on the sitter’s time zone
Claire was great and I would very much recommend her (I have already to a number of people in the dog park) We received regular detailed updates and all of our instructions were followed. Our cat and dog were happy & relaxed when we got home - it almost seemed like they hadn't missed us very much at all. Claire is very experienced with animals and is definitely an animal lover.
I would have no hesitation in recommending Clare as a cat sitter. She recently looked after my 7 month old cat, Ollie, with daily visits for a week. I was apprehensive about leaving him as he was quite a scaredy cat. Within 2 days she had him cuddling in her arms! Clare provided me with regular photos, videos and messages which was very reassuring. I will definitely be having Clare look after Ollie again.
I have extensive animal handling experience and have a strong understanding of animal health, animal behaviour and training.
I am studying to become a vet at the University of Melbourne, I have dog grooming qualifications and I attend weekly obedience and agility classes with my dog.
I volunteered at the Lort Smith Animal Hospital in the kennels and as a foster carer assisting post surgical cases with recovery and rehabilitation for three years and I also have first hand experience of the different requirements for elderly animals such as gentle play, slow walks, administering medications etc.
